The long hood and wheelbase proportions are reminiscent of the current S-class.

Even behind the camouflage, it’s clear that Mercedes has enlarged the S-class’s grille.

Three lengths will be available: normal, long, and Maybach. The U.S. will only get long and Maybach.

U.S. versions are expected to get a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 in both regular and AMG guise.

Super-lux Maybach versions will get the option of a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V-12.

An optional four-wheel-steering system can turn the rear wheels as much as 10 degrees to reduce the turning circle.

Mercedes kept some of the prototype interior hidden with a cover, but in this photo you can still see the large center screen and basic instrument-panel design.

With the cover removed, the wide “gauge” display can be seen.
